PALILULA MUNICIPALITY AND NKC HELPS FILM EDUCATION

Within action of film education of students and professors , in Nis Cultural Centre was organized distribution of the newest issues of  film magazine to the representatives of Nis elementary and high schools. Within was distributed and samples of magazine “YU FILM TODAY” – number 94/95, within which is published review of articles of our great film theorists and critics Slobodan Novakovic with name “MOVIE TRILOGY”. Magazine has published with support of City Municipality of Palilula and Nis Cultural Centre as co-publisher. Samples of magazine are to the gathered representatives of elementary and high schools gave Prof. Dr. Igor Novakovic, president of City Municipality of Palilula, Srdjan Savic, director of Nis Cultural Centre and Severin M. Franjic, Editor and Chief  of magazine. Goal of this action is that Nis elementary and high schools regularly gets quality films literature, which will students and teachers use for improving of their knowledge in the area of seventh art but and for applying of some of Departments of Faculties and Academies of Drama – stressed Srdjan Savic, director of NKC. To the call responded about twenty schools from Nis, and to the others the books will be given with other occasion. YU FILM TODAY is one of prestige domestic films magazines, which in last period has book format and between whose covers is, according to tradition that Editor and Chief of magazine Severin M. Franic established, publishing excellent film literature from the pen of the most respected of domestic and  foreign films theorists, historians, critics, and scenarists. Within this action, until now to the Nis schools was distributed books WHAT IS FILM? (1-4) by Andrea Bazen and collection of articles LIGHT FROM THE FORTRESS”(Nis films critics circle) by editor Severin M. Franic.
